About the Role:

Monstronauts is seeking a talented Technical & VFX Artist to enhance and streamline our game development pipeline. This role will involve implementing technical art features, creating tools and workflows, and to enhance the efficiency of the art production.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with team leads, Technical Director, and Studio Art Director to establish and maintain streamlined Unity implementation workflows.
  • Collaborate closely with Art Directors to uphold strong visual quality standards and ensure consistency across all implementations.
  • Contribute to monitoring and enhancing the overall art asset production pipeline.
  • Provide technical support and actionable feedback to artists regarding implementation techniques, optimization strategies, and workflow improvements.
  • Keep documentation current for asset naming standards, UI implementation processes, decoration systems, and general best practices.
  • Conduct regular project profiling to identify performance bottlenecks and implement effective optimization strategies.
  • Work alongside Tool Engineers to develop and improve tools that boost efficiency and maintain consistency for art teams.
  • Establish and refine content and feature implementation workflows to support smoother production cycles.
  • Design and maintain advanced tools to improve workflow efficiency for artists.
  • Manage and optimize asset pipelines, ensuring robust asset management and integration processes.
  • Conduct technical audits and performance profiling to identify and resolve issues, ensuring performance and quality across various platforms.
  • Serve as a technical guide within the art team, facilitating a deeper understanding of Unity’s tools and solutions.
  • Conceptualize and implement scalable solutions for shaders, dynamic lighting, and asset management to match a project’s visual look while ensuring the game runs smoothly on mobile devices, consoles, and varying PC hardware.
  • Collaborate closely with both the Art and Engineering teams to research and develop technical solutions that address project-specific and workflow needs.
  • Keep up to date with new tools and future technologies that can enhance the development process, and proactively integrate them into our workflows.
  • Proactively explore and implement new techniques and technologies to push the boundaries of what is possible in game development.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with procedural assets and environments.
  • Proficiency in C++ for custom gameplay functionality and performance optimizations.
  • Skills in rigging and animation blueprints to enhance character interactivity.
  • Knowledge of FX creation
  • Familiarity with procedural content generation to dynamically generate game content.
  • Past experience with shipping console games.



Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Entertainment, Game Art, Game Design or a related field
  • Proven experience as a VFX/Technical Artist for game development, with strong knowledge of shaders, render steps, graphics, post processing, VFX, and asset integration
  • Must be based and eligible to work in the Philippines.
  • Strong eye for lighting, value, color, details, and the ability to use them in creating beautiful visual effects that support gameplay
  • Expertise in creating custom tools and automating tasks
  • Solid understanding of asset management practices within Unity and experience with technical auditing and performance profiling
  • Demonstrated ability in creating and managing shader programs and scalable solutions for a variety of hardware
  • Keen interest in staying updated with the latest technologies, tools, and other industry innovations in game development
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and creative team members
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your technical art skills and previous work, preferably with notes on optimization and asset management

About the Role:

Monstronauts is seeking a talented 3D Animator to create engaging character performances and dynamic motion that brings our game to life. The 3D Animator will contribute to crafting memorable gameplay experiences through high-quality animation work.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create high-quality 3D characters, objects and environmental animations using Blender.
  • Translate gameplay mechanics into clear, readable animations that communicate player actions effectively.
  • Work closely with the art team to troubleshoot technical issues and suggest improvements to character setups.
  • Participate in regular reviews with the art and design teams to ensure animations support gameplay vision and narrative goals.
  • Maintain organized animation libraries and follow naming conventions for easy integration.



Job Requirements

  • Formal training or equivalent experience in animation, with a solid grasp of foundational animation principles
  • 1–3 years working as an animator or comparable interactive projects.
  • Demonstrated portfolio or reel showcasing 3D animation work for games, interactive media, or TV/movies.
  • Knowledge of Blender and Maya animation systems is a significant advantage.
  • Understanding of rigging basics and how to work effectively with technical artists.
  • Strong communication skills and enthusiasm for collaborative problem-solving.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple animation tasks across different project phases.

About the Role:

Monstronauts is seeking a versatile Concept & Render Artist who can seamlessly bridge the gap between initial creative vision and polished final presentation. This dual-role position requires an artist who excels at both ideating original concepts and producing high-quality rendered artwork that brings those ideas to stunning visual life.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop original concept art for characters, environments, props, and key visual elements that establish the artistic direction of projects.
  • Translate initial concepts, sketches, and descriptions from creative directors and designers into photorealistic or high-quality stylized renders.
  • Add fine detail, color, lighting, and textures to ensure renders are believable and visually appealing.
  • Create detailed rendered artwork that showcases designs with professional lighting, materials, and composition.
  • Transform rough sketches and ideas into fully realized, production-ready visual concepts with polished execution.
  • Produce both 2D concept art/sketches and fully polished 2D illustrations depending on project requirements.
  • Establish visual style guides, mood boards, and reference materials that communicate the artistic vision to the team.
  • Collaborate with art directors, game designers, and the production team to ensure concepts align with gameplay and narrative goals..
  • Work efficiently between concepting phase and rendering phase, managing time across both responsibilities.
  • Refine artwork based on feedback while maintaining artistic integrity and project vision.
  • Updated with current industry trends in both concept art and rendering techniques to push visual quality forward.



Job Requirements

  • Formal education in illustration, digital arts, game design,visual problem solving and concept design for games or related creative disciplines.
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in concept art and/or rendering for games, film, or entertainment industries.
  • Strong proficiency in digital painting software such as Photoshop, Procreate, Affinity designer or similar tools.
  • Experience with rendering engines such as Unreal Engine and Unity
  • Exceptional understanding of fundamentals: perspective, composition, color theory, lighting, and anatomy.
  • Portfolio demonstrating both conceptual ideation skills and high-quality finished rendered artwork.
  • Ability to work in various art styles and adapt visual approach based on project needs, from photorealistic to stylized.
  • Strong storytelling ability through visual design, creating images that evoke emotion and convey narrative.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present and defend creative choices.
  • Self-directed with strong time management skills to balance dual responsibilities effectively.
  • Passion for games, entertainment, and pushing the boundaries of visual design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience creating both stylized and realistic artwork.
  • Familiarity with Substance Painter/Designer for texture work.
  • Background in General Illustration and Game Art or Design
  • Experience working in an agile development environment.
