About the Role:

Monstronauts is seeking a talented Technical Artist to enhance and streamline our game development pipeline. This role will involve implementing technical art features, creating tools and workflows, and to enhance the efficiency of the art production.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain advanced tools to improve workflow efficiency for artists
  • Manage and optimize asset pipelines, ensuring robust asset management and integration processes
  • Conduct technical audits and performance profiling to identify and resolve issues, ensuring performance and quality across various platforms
  • Serve as a technical guide within the art team, facilitating a deeper understanding of Unity’s tools and solutions
  • Conceptualize and implement scalable solutions for shaders, dynamic lighting, and asset management to match a project’s visual look while ensuring the game runs smoothly on mobile devices, consoles, and varying PC hardware
  • Collaborate closely with both the Art and Engineering teams to research and develop technical solutions that address project-specific and workflow needs
  • Collaborate with Art Leads, Game Designers, and Quality Assurance (QA) to ensure adherence to technical standards and that all assets meet technical requirements
  • Integrate, validate and optimize graphic data in the engine by using scripts if needed
  • Keep up to date with new tools and future technologies that can enhance the development process, and proactively integrate them into our workflows
  • Proactively explore and implement new techniques and technologies to push the boundaries of what is possible in game development

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience with procedural assets and environments.
  • Proficiency in C++ for custom gameplay functionality and performance optimizations.
  • Skills in rigging and animation blueprints to enhance character interactivity.
  • Knowledge of FX creation
  • Familiarity with procedural content generation to dynamically generate game content.
  • Past experience with shipping console games.



Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Entertainment, Game Art, Game Design or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Technical Artist for game development, with strong knowledge of shaders, render steps, graphics, post processing, VFX, and asset integration
  • Must be based and eligible to work in the Philippines.
  • Strong eye for lighting, value, color, details, and the ability to use them in creating beautiful visual effects that support gameplay
  • Expertise in creating custom tools and automating tasks
  • Solid understanding of asset management practices within Unity and experience with technical auditing and performance profiling
  • Demonstrated ability in creating and managing shader programs and scalable solutions for a variety of hardware
  • Keen interest in staying updated with the latest technologies, tools, and other industry innovations in game development
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and creative team members
  • A strong portfolio showcasing your technical art skills and previous work, preferably with notes on optimization and asset management

About the Role:

Monstronauts is seeking a talented UI Designer to perform various job duties and tasks in designing a user interface. This role will involve conceptualizing and designing UI interface systems and assets for various game applications through user-centered design methodologies to enhance player experience across multiple devices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conceptualize and create compelling UI assets, layouts, and animations based on existing design systems
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and visual designs for in-game UI components such as menus, icons, stats screens, and in-game HUD elements.
  • Design new UI interface systems for various game genres, optimized for multiple devices including mobile, consoles, and various PC hardware
  • Collaborate with the team to define and implement innovative UI solutions that serve gameplay intentions and enhance the user experience.
  • Work with artists, programmers, designers, producers, and others to integrate art assets into the game while ensuring technical constraints are met for mobile, tablet, web browsers, consoles, and PC hardware.
  • Ensure UI consistency across all platforms and maintain a consistent visual identity and that designs follow respective brand guidelines
  • Utilize user-centered design methodologies to enhance player experience through refining UI elements, functionality, and layout based on player feedback and usability testing.

Nice to Haves:

  • Experience working with multiple game engines and implementing UI assets.
  • Motion graphics, or illustration skills.
  • Knowledge of scripting or programming languages relevant to UI development.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in UI Designer roles for apps
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Entertainment, Game Art, Visual Communication, or a related field
  • Must be based and eligible to work in the Philippines.
  • Experience in Unity or similar game engines creating and implementing UI assets in-engine for different platforms
  • Experience shipping at least one professional game or mobile app as a UI Designer working as part of a team
  • Excellent portfolio demonstrating UI design skills, including wireframes, prototypes, and final UI in-game implementations.
  • Solid understanding of UI design principles and processes.
  • Demonstrable experience with Adobe CC design tools, Affinity, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Aptitude for quickly learning new tools and processes when necessary.
  • Strong emphasis on efficient file organization and asset management.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with an ability to articulate design concepts.
  • Experienced in utilizing version control systems (Perforce, Git, SVN) will be preferred

Monstronauts is seeking a talented 2D Game Artist to create high-quality visual representations, such as 2D digital illustrations and graphics using specialized software. This artist will bring concepts to life with detailed textures, lighting, and realistic effects, enhancing visual storytelling and design.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creation of concepts, color concepts of objects/backgrounds to be implemented on game apps compatible with various mobile devices, consoles, and PC hardware;
  • Creation of high-quality game illustrations and graphics (objects, characters, background images);
  • Creation of game locations, environmental art, splash art, and other relevant key illustrations that will enrich player experience;
  • Collaborate with game designers, programmers, and other artists to visualize game assets that serve gameplay intentions;
  • Ensure that art meets technical constraints for mobile, tablet, web browsers, consoles, and PC hardware;
  • Build strong collaborative working relationships with all members of a team;
  • Executing final renders of complex objects/backgrounds.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Rendering Artist roles for apps and websites
  • Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Entertainment, Game Art, Visual Communication, or a related field
  • Must be based and eligible to work in the Philippines.
  • Excellent and demonstrable experience in digital art software such as Adobe CC design tools, Affinity, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of visual aesthetics and and design principles, with a good sense of line, form, color, and lighting
  • Understanding nuances of various styles of game art, primarily casual for mobile games.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to bring concepts to life through realistic renderings is essential
  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in concept art and rendering techniques is required
  • Strong communication, time-management and organizational skills;
  • Experience in the gaming industry is desirable.
